The Challenge For troops conducting scouting, surveillance and convoy operations, the lack of a bird’s eye view of their surroundings will hinder their productivity, efficiency and safety. In controlled areas, the ability to deploy an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) is taken for granted. When troops are operating in the field, the ease of deploying a UAS usually evaporates. Issues such as logistics, assembly, and time to launch can negatively impact the ability for a troop to launch a UAS.

The Proposed Solution - The proposed solution of Robot Aviation’s SkyRobot FX10, a highly mobile UAS that has been designed with these challenges in mind. Moving along paths, roads & infrastructures to gather visual, thermal and spectral-optic data the system can assist in the detection and help to identify many of the threats that are associated with mobilization of troops and material.

The FX10 System provides the mission commander a light, mobile and rugged answer to demanding Reconnaissance, Surveillance and threat detection requirements.

SkyRobot FX10

  • SkyRobotTM FX10 is equipped with EasyPilot autopilot that uses GPS, INS and laser altitude sensors to provide fully autonomous missions, including launch and recovery. SkyRobotTM FX10 system’s modular structure, lightness and ease of use allows one man missions. Aerial system can be launched in under 15min and battery can be hot swapped in under 2min.

  • SkyRobotTM FX10 system is equipped with dual redundant datalink for both C2 and payload controls. In case primary data-link is lost, mission can be continued with secondary data-link. SkyRobotTM FX10 system uses a phased array antenna system that can read the direction and location of the aircraft in GPS-denied environments. Systems data-link supports point-to-multipoint communication technology and allows control of multiple aerial vehicles from the same GCS. SkyRobotTM FX10 system is equipped with emergency locator beacon and can be easily found in case aerial vehicle been lost.

  • SkyRobotTM FX10 training program covers all aspects of operation, maintenance, pre-flight and post-fight procedures. SkyRobotTM FX10 customers are supplied with comprehensive user manuals and on demand custom support.

This GCS features 10,1” multi touch screen, 4 hours battery life, 128GB SSD internal storage, HID joysticks for manual control, IP65 environmental protection, WiFi, LTE, Bluetooth and weighs only 1,2kg.
